Magic Carpet Golf had two incredible courses. The first was built in 1969 and the second in 1970. They were designed by Lee Koplin who also built the Goofy Golfs in Guerneville, CA and in FL (Panama City Beach, Pensacola, and Fort Walton Beach) which have many obstacles that are identical to these in Tucson. Unfortunately, this place closed in 2008. The Tiki Head was moved to The Hut nightclub and some of the other figures will be going to the Valley of the Moon.
Lee Koplin built a Goofy Golf in Biloxi, MS in 1957 but this was later demolished and replaced by him with a Magic Golf. This was completely erased by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. There are other Magic Carpet Golfs with old figures in Carnelian Bay & South Lake Tahoe, CA, Reno, NV, and Galveston, TX. There was another in Osage Beach, MO, now demolished.
